Our Shipsonic system comes is two versions. The SHIPSONIC 10 consists of One Amplifier Transducer connected to a single Control Box. This system is used for boats up to 10 metres in lenght. The SHIPSONIC 20 is designed for vessels which are between 10 and 18 metres in length and up to 20 meters waterline. The transducers are installed inside the hull with expoxy glue and no holes in the hull are required. All kits come complete with all necessary cabling. It is up to you where to place the control box but it is important the it is placed above the waterline in a dry  suitable place in the vicinity of an electrical power source.The two versions of Ultra transducers should be sited in accordance of the pictures above. The transducer(s) should be placed below  the water line. One must make sure that the transducers are not mounted on any false floor or internal skin.Mouting the transducers
within 1-1.5 meters of the propeller(s) or drive unit(s) will help to keep these clean from fouling as well as they will be within the effective area of the transducer/s.

With the environmental lobby cracking down on biocides of all sorts, those with a clean, green conscience are usually distinguishable by the no-so-clean but equally green state of their hulls.

Strategically attached to the inside of the hull, Shipsonic, developed in the US, buzzes gently (inaudibly unless you're close to it, it's claimed) to prevent marine life getting a grip. It doesn't work on wooden boats or hose in mud berths, but otherwise it's claimed to be thoroughly effective.

It's not perfect: it needs 25W (2A on a 12v DC system, it also runs on 24v DC, 110 and 220vAC) and it needs to be on for 6-8 hours a day so if you're on a swinging mooring, you'll need a 30W solar panel or, more likely, a wind generator. The company recommends it primarily for use with shore power.

Two years later, to be precise, in February 2010 issue of Motor Boat & Yachting the newly improved Ultrasonic Antifouling System was covered. The magazine conducted a 4 month test of the Ultra 10  system with amazing results, and also awarded Ultrasonic Antifouling its 'Product of the Month' title along with a 5 star rating.....
